The UK Sustainable Business Awards are designed to recognise organisations that act sustainably and encourage others to follow suit.  Categories include Food Safety Management, Customer Service Management and Corporate Social Responsibility.  Open to all businesses with operations in the UK, the winners will be announced in June 2008.  The awards have been launched by SAI Global/EFSIS - a leading inspection and certification body in the food industry which helps organisations manage risk, achieve compliance and drive business improvement.  The company operates in more than 70 countries worldwide and has a client base of more than 5,000 food manufacturers and 25,000 farmers, across 17 different sections of the food industry €“ from fresh produce to fish, poultry, dairy and meat.
